When I got to Goldendale, I was really surprised with the large number of wind generators they have installed since the last time I travled through the area. There was an open gate that had a no tresspassing sign that said you would get the death penalty if you entered the area. What the heck, it looked like an attractive nuisence to me, so I cautiously accepted the invitation. Man, those things are huge. Check out my bike near the bottom of the tower for one of them. The wind was blowing so hard that it blew my bike over three times before I could get it balanced just right so I could take a picture of it.
